My dog died at home. What should I do with his body and cremation?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 26 lbs

My sister has a 10 year old dog . if he dies in her apartment what should we do? Who should we contact? How do we arrange for cremation?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is often times done through a veterinarian. You can for example take Benji to your veterinarian if that happened and usually they would take care of his remains in the way you prefer, including cremation which is usually done by a separate entity. If you are concerned that Benji is declining and you are concerned about his health, it would be a good idea to have him evaluated by your veterinarian to ensure that he is not suffering.
