My cat flu carrier is sneezing and purring chesty. Should I worry?

Hi my cat is exhibiting some symptoms that are worrying me. Shes very chesty when she purrs and she keeps having bouts of sneezing. She isn't struggling to breathe when she's not purring she's fine otherwise. Still eating and drinking. I was told by a previous vet when I rescued her that she was a cat flu carrier and would experience symptoms from time to time but would be fine and she has had the occasional runny or a sneeze but never for a few days like this

I hate to hear that Pussy is sick. I would be worried that the virus is allowing a secondary bacterial infection to set up. Your previous vet is correct that she may have problems from time to time. Not all of them will be serious but like you pointed out, she's never presented like this. I would recommend to get her into the vet ASAP to have her lungs checked out for signs of pneumonia (which is serious). Which is always the concern for deep chest sounds. I hope she starts feeling better!
