My well-behaved 1-year-old dog suddenly started biting. What's wrong?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 5 months old | 57 lbs

My 1 year old dog is usually well behaved but has started biting out of nowhere. What do I do

This may be a dominance issue as he is growing up and passing through puberty. The best thing you can do is have him neutered immediately to help minimize the dominance behavior. From there you need to reinforce you are in charge and that behavior is unacceptable. make sure you correct him every time this happens and give him appropriate items to play with and chew on. Make sure he is getting plenty of exercise also. If all of these fail they do have medication that can with behavior training from your vet

    Poor baby! I would consider putting him on an anti-anxiety Medicine as the biting is likely fear or anxiety driven. Your vet should be able to prescribe this. You can also have a behaviorist evaluate him to help get tools and advice on the best meds and training for him. Training and behavior is very in depth and without an evaluation it is difficult to say exactly wha needs to be done. I hope this helps.
