Why is my 12-year-old Pit moaning, licking paws, and not eating?

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | neutered

my 12-year-old Pitt is behaving strangely. when you offer him food he walks outside he won't come in he stands at an open door and moans. he has started licking himself mostly on his paws not red or bleeding but licks. he had a few lumps removed but he still has others and the odd one popping up. he not eating like he used to. will leave food behind. i am just concerned.

The moaning may be a sign of pain and discomfort. The licking may be from allergies and may not be related to the bigger problem of him not eating and being lethargic. At his age, cancer is a possibility. Did the lumps get diagnosed or just removed? If there are some changing or reoccurring then I would have your vet check those. He will likely need xrays and lab work to see what is going on further
