What should I do if my pet mice have ringworm and I caught it?

I think my pet mice have ringworm and I think i have caught it from them I was wondering if you could give any advice on what to do with my poor little mice

I'm sorry about your mice. This may be ringworm or mites. The two conditions are treated very differently. It is always best to have a veterinarian confirm the diagnosis prior to experimenting with treatments. You can find information about treating ringworm in mice at www.fancymice.info. It can be treated with an oral prescription medication called griseofulvin and prescription antifungal creams. You can try over the counter treatments using athletes foot cream or tea tree oil that is mixed with water and sprayed on. If your mice have mites....these treatments will not help and will need to see a veterinarian for treatment. Good luck!! Make sure to visit that website...it is full of good info.
