Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I have a cat but yesterday she went out in the balcony to chill but it was windy and a little cold , after that she came inside weak and a little later she vomited . Then she got to her spot in the house and slept for most of the time . Sometimes she go to the bathroom to try to vomit but don't throw up , and come back to her spot to sleep. It's been 10 hours .

It's hard to know exactly what could be going on. She may have gotten hypothermic, she may have had a seizure, she may have been feeling bad before going outside and been looking for somewhere quiet. Regardless, since she's vomited a few times and has been lethargic for 10 hours, I would consider taking her to an emergency room for evaluation tonight. If she still seems very sleepy tomorrow, she should definitely be evaluated. Good luck to you both!

Thank you for contacting Pet Coach with your question. Given that your cat has been outside for a month and is tired, I would suspect she may the one who vomited. I'm concerned that there appears to be blood in the vomit, which makes this a medical emergency. I would take her into a vet immediately to get checked out. Best of luck.
