Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 3 years and 6 months old | 8.5 lbs
Last night, my dog Milo was asleep, and woke up yelping seeming to be in pain. His left paw was out to the side at a strange angle and his right back leg muscle was flexed. He also seemed to be scared / dazed. This lasted for about 30 seconds to a minute and nothing has happened since. Now, he seems fine. Back to his normal self. He has no problem getting around and has been eating and drinking.

Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sorry to hear about Milo but it sounds like this was an isolated incident since he has been normal today. I would continue to monitor him for any return of problems that you noticed and if they appear, I would have your vet evaluate him to make sure his legs are normal and that he seems physically within normal limits. Hard to say what happened. He may have been dreaming and was startled, possibly straining his legs. Sounds like he's good today so I don't think you have anything to worry about. But, keep monitoring him. Good luck with Milo
