My puppy has pneumonia, antibiotics aren't helping. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | English Cocker Spaniel | Male | 3 months and 9 days old | 7 lbs

Hi.we have a 3.5 month cocker espaniel.he has productive cough.cdv was negative.diagnosis was pneumonia.we started antibiotic therapy.his appetite is good and there is no digestive disfunction but coughs didnt get better.what should i do.antibiotics ive used are ceftriaxon 100 mg qd and ampiciline 100 mg tds.furtheremore we gave him dyphenhydramine as antihistamine.all drugs prescribed by vet.would he survive?

Poor Moca - he is having a tough time! A suspect pneumonia which has not responded to regular treatment should be x-rayed in order to determine any complicating factors and also be tested for parasites. A swab of fluid from the airways may also need to be cultured in order to determine the type of infection
