Why is my sheepadoodle restless, panting, constipated, and unsteady?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Poodle | Male | unneutered | 70 lbs

You He's a nine month old sheepadoodle. About three hours ago he started getting very restless and crying. The crying has increased and he's panting a lot. He has not pooped since dinner, about 5 hours ago. He has looked like he was about to a few times but didn't go. No vomiting and he's drinking water. He also seems a bit unsteady in his hind legs at times, like the slip a bit or drag when he walks. He will fun to get his ball, but when walking is slower than usual.

It sounds like Watson is pretty sick. If he is still acting this same, way, I would recommend to take him in to see the veterinarian ASAP. I don't like him being unsteady and not able to have a bowel movement. I would be worried about a blockage or severe inflammation. The vet will likely want some radiographs and likely blood work. I hope Watson starts feeling better soon!
