Cat dental surgery: How long for recovery and cleaning tips?

Question

Frank had 2 teeth pulled on Tuesday and an abscess drained. He was given an antibiotic injection and is now on oral antibiotics two times a day and a pain pill for 3 days. How long does it take for him to heal typically? He has dried blood on his cheek where he was shaved and worked on but I'm hesitant to wash it for fear of hurting him. He is eating liquid food and drinking water. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 9 lbs
