Why is my cat's ear leaking yellow fluid from a scab? Is it infected?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Bengal | Male | neutered | 2 years and 9 months old | 9.9 lbs

Cat has yellow clear fluid leaking from a patch of exposed skin on the back of the ear. Yesterday there seemed to be a scab there with the fur still intact at the time. Is this an infection from fighting with another cat?

It certainty could be a wound that is getting infected. I would recommend having a appointment with Moto's regular veterinarian to check out his ear and make sure he doesn't need antibiotics or an update of any vaccines. Good luck!
