Depending on the amount ingested, you may see vomiting and/or diarrhea within the next 12 hours. Usually, either can be managed with a 24 hour fast followed by a bland diet in small, frequent amounts until symptoms resolve. Monitor for lethargy, loss of appetite or abdominal pain in addition to persistent GI upset. See your veterinarian if symptoms worsen, do not resolve or if any of these other symptoms are observed.

Yes, you are correct that dogs should not be given curry. It contains spices that are very upsetting to their stomach. I can give you a home remedy to try to see if that helps him, but no water mixed with sugar will not help at all. In fact, too much sugar can cause further GI upset. In the future, do not feed him curry again, and only feed him his dog food. As for the home remedy, withhold food for 8-12 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. I hope this helps!
