Pet's info: Other | Unknown - Other | Female
Hi, nothing is necessarily wrong with my Guinea Pig. She used to have a sister pig who passed away when she was with her previous owner. Multiple people have been telling me “you need to get a second one” because they do better with a companion, is that true? If so should I get a same aged pig or a baby? Thanks -sam

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your loss of your guinea pig. Its hard to lose them. I would agree that they do enjoy company. You may try to get a similar aged pig. Be careful with the introduction as there may be some fighting. Keep the new pig in a separate cage and swap cages daily to get them use to the scent. Then after a week or so, introduce them in neutral territory. Do not leave them alone and unsupervised until you are sure they are not going to fight. Make sure to get another female. Hope this helps!
