My cat has a white bump over his eye. Can cats get pimples or cysts?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | neutered | 9.1 lbs

My cat has a white head, pimple looking, bump over his eye. He seems unbothered by it. I found one just like it on his shoulder last week...but as I rubbed my hand over it (no, I did not squeeze it) the contents came out just as a pimple would. He is an older cat...10 years old Can cats get pimples?

I can't identify the lesion on Pirate but I can say that yes, cats do get things like pimples and little sebaceous cysts. These lesions will often express like a pimple would and are nothing to worry about unless they get inflamed or bother Pirate. Thank you so much for using Pet Coach!
