It is getting cooler outside here in Minnesota. At what temp should I start to uses Teddy's coat and booties? He loves being outside and the last snowfall ( just enough to cover the grass ) he just laid in it and rolled around. So he loves the cooler weather.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! In reality if Teddy likes the snow and he is comfortable outside you do not necessarily need the booties and coat unless you are staying for an extended amount of time (over 20-30 minutes). You can start using it when it is under 40 degrees Fahrenheit. It really depends on Teddy and what he tolerates. For my dogs I usually do it when it is under 20 degrees Fahrenheit based on what they tolerate specifically. Good luck!

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. At temperatures like this, I would be concerned with having Teddy out for more than 5 minutes. I would recommend using the boots for his feet that you can find online or at a local pet store and dressing him in a doggy sweater as this will help reduce chance of hypothermia / damage to the skin from the cold. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and would be more than happy to help you further.
