My dog's ear has blood and dark discharge after cleaning. Why?

I was cleaning my dogs ear and he has a dark dischrge I used a cotton ball when I took the gotten ball out of his ear there was blood. He doesn't seem to be in any pain nor is he scratching or shaking his head. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 3 years and 1 month old | 110 lbs

From what you describe it sounds like Koda may have an ear infection. I would encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian. He will likely need a topical medication to help resolve it. Best of luck and I hope he improves quickly.
