Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 13 days old | 24 lbs
My puppy has black head like dots on his belly, at first there was one, now there's more, with tiny ones starting to show, he's a 14 week old pitty, a doesn't have fleas, I believed it to be allergies, since he had had red itchy skin that has since faded, but I'm not sure, my vet prescribed Revolution, but I didn't give it to him, since he had a skin scrape that came back negative. I would like to be as natural as possible, without the use of antibiotics or pills. Please help

Hi there I agree, it does sound like allergies. Allergies cause the skin to be weaker and then they are more prone to infections and what are called comedomes (black heads). Your dog may need medications to really heal what's going on but you can try a couple things first. Bathe Tao weekly with an oatmeal/aloe shampoo and let us really lather before rinsing. You can also switch Tao to a puppy food that is hypoallergenic, ideally one from you vet, because food allergies can be a major component. I prefer the hydrolyzed protein one from Royal Canin. I'd start there but if that doesn't help ask you vet about Apoquel for allergies. It's very safe and works really well. Best to you and Tao! Thanks for using Pet Coach!
