My dog got 5-in-1 shots. Does he still need a separate parvo vaccine?

Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | 6 months and 18 days old | 5 lbs

I wanted to ask my dog has 4 shots of 5 in 1. Do I have to gve him a shot for Parvo. If yes, Is there a vaccine intended only for parvo. Thanks

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Most 5 in 1 vaccines include Parvovirus. You will need to look at the type you gave. If the vaccines were given by a Vet then they contained a vaccine for parvo. If the vaccine you gave your dog did not contain parvo virus then you will have to give Lala 2 parvo vaccines 3 weeks apart for her to be protected. I do believe they make just a parvo vaccine I hope this helps.
