My pug has pigmentary keratitis. What temporary eye drops can I use?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | unneutered | 13 years and 1 month old | 25 lbs

My pug is 13yrs with PIGMENTARY KERATITIS I'm not a 100 percent sure. but at the look of it, my dog eyes looks close enough to the comparison of the pictures image I seen on others dogs, I just need some medical advice I don't have the money to take him to the vet at this moment. is there anything I can put in his eyes for temporary? until I figure things out. please let me know ASAP Thank you :/

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Scooters! The only thing you can do with out seeing a Vet is to start lubricating Scooters eyes. You can use Genteal lubricating drops (get the severe formula) and use at a minimum of three times a day, more if you can. Then get Scooters to a Vet as soon as you can. I hope this helps and I wish Scooters the best!
