Why is my dog growling and barking while sitting? Is he sick?

Is my dog having mental problem i today notice he was sitting inside my room and while sitting he growl and barks so what does that mean? He does because of getting bore or what? Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 11 months old
