My dog has an eye lump. Vets can't diagnose. Should I worry about cancer?

Last week a lump appeared in the corner of my dogs eye. It showed up out of no where. She had seen 2 vets and they have no idea what it is. They don't want to remove it because if the location. Im worried it's cancerous and if we let it go it will only get worse. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 6 years and 8 months old
