The treatment will depend on which worms your parrot has. Parrots are most commonly susceptible to roundworms and tapeworms. If Pickles is infected with roundworms, the treatment is fenbendazole or pyrantel pamoate. If the infection is with tapeworms, then the treatment is praziquantel. Your dog's veterinarian should carry all of these medications and should be able to prescribe them for Pickles. Pyrantel pamoate can also be purchased over the counter in liquid form from most pet stores.
