Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Male | neutered | 1 year and 7 months old | 9.92 lbs
I got my Cat Goku neutered 5 days ago. But after neutering when he woke up from thr anesthesia, I gave him food after 1-2 hours but he vomited all that after 4-5 hours. Now this has been happening for the last 5 days. Each time I give him food, he vomits everything after 4-5 hours. I took him to the vet but he said that this is just gastroids from the antibiotics and gave him some meds but this vomiting has not stopped. Looking at his behavior he doesn't seem sick but Im really worried

Is he still on the antibiotics? If so maybe you could call and request a different medication? If he is no longer taking the medication and he is still vomiting then she should have a follow up appointment. It is possible that it is just coincidental with the neutering and he could have a foreign body in his stomach, or a parasite causing him to vomit. They may want to do an x-ray and/or some blood work. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon.

Oh poor cats! I too would worry about giving them pain meds by mouth for fear that they will just vomit it back up. They may both be having a bad reaction to the anesthesia, but that is an excessive amount of vomiting even with that considered. Because of the excessive vomiting and fear for dehydration and worsening of their condition, I would recommend considering taking them both to an ER vet for a shot of anti-vomit medication, subcutaneous fluids (if they are already dehydrated, which they probably are), and a good exam to ensure your fur babies will be ok. I just fear that without immediate action, this adverse reaction will continue and end up making them much much worse. I hope they feel better soon! Once they are better, have a talk with the vet who did their surgery and investigate what they could have possibly reacted to and make a note on their chart to avoid it in the future.
