Why does my Boston Terrier wake up whining in the middle of the night?

My Boston terrier always wakes up in the middle of the night and starts to whine, even if he’s on my bed or on my kids bed. Why does he do this? Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Male | neutered | 1 year and 8 months old | 20 lbs

He may have to go to the bathroom or want a drink and that is his way of trying to inform you. You can see if there is something he is trying to show you that he wants, if nothing is found and he does not go to the bathroom then I would look in to re training him with a kennel to get him used to sleeping through the night again
