Besides Lyme, how fast do tick diseases appear & are they treatable?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 10 months and 13 days old | 12 lbs

I know ticks can carry diseases/illnesses other than Lyme but do they all not show up until a couple months like Lyme or can any of them happen quickly? Are they all treatable like Lyme? It's hard getting clear answers by researching online alone.

Majority of them are similar as it is not an immediately disease, it can take time. Most are treatable but can have relapses and severe symptoms that can cause death. Often times you can see lethargy, lameness, a rash, and even clotting disorders from tick borne disease.
