Can my dog take heartworm & flea/tick meds during whipworm treatment?

Hello, recently, my dog had whipworm, he went through deworming medication but they want him to take it again three weeks and three months to make sure. Am I able to give him his normal heart worm and flea and tick preventative even though he was on this medication and is scheduled to take y again soon? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 21.3 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is a great question! Yes, you should continue to give Kirby his monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. The medication to kill the whipworms will not prevent heartworm or fleas/ticks and therefore he will still require the monthly preventions. Kisses to Kirby!
