dog is extremely terrified of fireworksand theres nothing I can do, and I mean TERRIFIED. Vet gave us sileo a sedative and told us we can give up to 3 doses of his xanax and theyve done nothing. Hes shaking, panting, clawing floors til he bleeds and nothing can get him to settle. Ive made him a den, music full blast til the point neighbours have complained but he wont stop being scared hes ripped 2 of his claws off theres blood everywehre.

Poor Mason - you really are trying everything for him!. Unfortunately it may be time to consider injectable medications and keeping him hospitalized to prevent further injury. There are sound phobia training methods which would be worthwhile considering once this current crisis is over but in the short term and a consultation with a behaviorist in the long term would be worthwhile
