I would recommend taking Blaze into the veterinarian. Eyes have a tendency to heal quickly or go bad quickly. I don’t like to wait on eyes. He could have scratched his cornea and caused an ulcer. Glaucoma (increased eye pressure) can also cause a red eye. Both of these conditions are painful and have potential to cause blindness. The vet will most likely stain the eye to check for an ulcer , tear levels and eye pressure. They can start him on some appropriate medications and get him feeling better. Thanks for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
