Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | 2 months and 11 days old

My 2 Months old femle lab has diarrhea since a few days. She has a bit watery nose too, sometimes, and she has vomited twice this week, its kinda yellow in colour . It all started after my dad gave her meat behind my back. Now i dont know whats wrong with her. And even the vet, to whom i have been currently taking her to, gave her a parvovirus vaccine again on 24 even after i told him that this vaccine was give by the pervious vet on 8th or 9th oct.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Silky! Causes of vomiting and diarrhea are: dietary indiscretion (ate or given something that is upsetting her stomach), intestinal parasites, viral or bacterial infections, food allergy/intolerance. It is possible that the vomiting and diarrhea is from the meat that was fed to her but there are many other things. I would have her seen by your Vet since it has been several days. She is very young and we do not want puppies sick for that long. You can feed her a bland diet of boiled chicken breast mixed with rice. Feed the bland diet until 2 normal stools. You Vet was correct in giving her another vaccine. We booster the DHPP vaccine every 3-4 weeks until they have 2 past 12 weeks of age. If the vomiting and diarrhea happened after the vaccines then she could be having a reaction. I hope this helps and I wish Silky a speedy recovery!
