Why is my 7-month-old Chihuahua puppy so hyper? Will he calm down?

My Chihuahua is very hyper runs and play all day, and wants me to hold him, all day he acts like a jack Russell, but he is a pure breed Chihuahua but very hype, hardly ever sits still. He is 7 months old will he ever grow out if this and be calm? Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | 6 months and 12 days old | 2.7 lbs

Hi there. Dallas is still in puppy mode so the behavior you are seeing isn’t unusual for any dog his age, regardless of what breed they are. Having him neutered should help calm him down and as he matures he will calm down as well, but some dogs stay on the more hyper side for their entire life. Best to you and Dallas.
