My cat has fleas and is sick. What OTC flea treatment can I use?

I have a cat around 6 years old and we just moved into a apt full of fleas. He now has them and is acting sick. He keeps shacking his head and is a little weak, but he still eats real good. Is there any thing I can give him over the counter, on a fixed income and I can't loose my cat. Please help me!

Hello, yes you can buy over the counter flea medications such as Frontline or Advantage Multu for cats and administer this to your cat in order to kill the fleas. You should also buy a product to treat your environment and get rid of the fleas. Hope this helps and best of luck.
