Does my small dog need a winter coat and boots for cold weather?

I have a 5lb dog that is a teddy bear breed. We live in WI. Does he need a coat during winter or shoes? I have hear mix thing from people. Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 30 days old | 5 lbs

Batman is cute!!!! I would recommend a coat for sure when he goes outside. If he is going outside for longer then 10 minutes, I would also recommend boots (if he will wear them). These little ones lose body heat quickly. Thank you for using Pet Coach!
