Hi, my kitten worries me , she seems a bit retarded she's not like any cat I have ever had , right now i have 2 cats almst the same age the other one she's fine, this one she just seems not to be trying to grown up she even looks for milk on the other kitten,my vet said I should wait a while for her to mature but I don't see that happening, is there such a thing as a retarded cat and can I help her

Its hard to say if mental handicaps are possible in pets but certainly there are different intelligence levels and maturity levels. I agree with your normal vet. Black may not be like any cat you have ever had but as long as she is happy and loved, thats whats important. Kittens that are weaned early will suckle other pets and fabric but this is a benign behavior that is usually outgrown. There's nothing to do for her except keep her safe and feed her a high quality kitten food to support normal brain development. Best of luck with little Blackie!
