Why is my female cat constantly licking her red private area? In heat?

My female cat is about 12 months and she is cleaning her vagina minutes after minutes i donot understand this behaviour is she is in heat,,and her vagina is little bit red what should i do ? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 11 months and 12 days old | 11.023 lbs

It is quite possible she is in heat. Other causes for constant licking in this area would be an infection or UTI. I would keep a close eye on her litter box habits for anything unusual (such as smaller pee volume, blood, straining, etc) and see a vet if this is a concern.
