Thinking of feeding my dog bone broth. Is it safe or risky?

I’ve been doing a lot of reading on the benefits of bone broth And have been thinking about making some for my dogs what do you think

Typically making bone broth and adding it to the food is not something I recommend doing. The broth can be high in fats that will cause gastrointestinal upset to a dog. This might be vomiting and diarrhea. Also high fat foods can cause pancreatitis in dogs. I would recommend staying with his regular dog food. Hope that helps

    One way to avoid the fat is to cool the broth in the refrigerator overnight and skim any fat from the top. There probably won’t be much, but that can decrease the concern. Hope this helps! Thank you for using Pet Coach.
