My Chihuahua has constant itching from allergies. What helps?

I have a Chihuahua that is very sensitive to allergens. She is even allergic to the distemper vaccine. She itches all the time. I am pretty sure it is her diet. I have tried several kinds of food, from mid level expensive to very expensive. She still itches. I have bathed her in oatmeal soap, soap that is supposed to be for sensitive skin, and even tried conditioner. I am at a loss as to what to do. And if you are wondering, I cannot find one single flea on her. HELP! Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 5 years and 10 months old | 9 lbs

Hi there. Allergies can be very challenging and frustrating. Have you tried any prescription hypoallergenic diets? Minimum of 10 weeks with NO other treats etc? If not I would discuss that option with your veterinarian. Otherwise I may consider trying cytoplasm injections. I have been very pleased with my toughest allergy patients on this medication.
