How can I bring my parakeet to Australia on an international flight?

Hi. I was wondering can I bring a parakeet on an international flight to Australia? Thanks

You can bring birds to Australia however it can get very complicated. i would recommend contacting the USDA in your state to see what requirements are needed. Most birds need specific testing and free of certain disease. Also most birds will have to be quarantined for a specific amount of time once they reach Australia. It might not be worth all the paper work and cost unless you are moving there. The USDA will have a lot more information for you. hope that help
