This morning Archer threw up and this is what he threw up. He didn’t eat anything plastic or hard. Each morning I give both dogs 1 nutria dent. Any ideas or suggestions on what this is or why?

That looks like a partially digested piece of a dental chew. It's hard to say why he threw up this morning. Hopefully he just has a mild stomach upset that will resolve quickly. Sometimes this happens if dogs eat too quickly, eat a new food item or diet, or if they have stomach acid buildup. Other more serious possibilities would be inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), a bowel obstruction, or an infection. You can continue to monitor him today, but if he continues to vomit or develops other symptoms of illness, it's best to have him evaluated by a vet to make sure it's not a serious problem. A bland diet may help in the meantime.
