My kitten has a mouth growth & won't eat dry food. What should I do?

I was able to snap a few pictures while he was playing with my hand but I have a four and a half month old kitten and he has a growth in his mouth. I didnt notice it till earlier today but he will not eat dry food only wet food and he has most of his teeth. What do I do?

Hi there. It looks like it could be a salivary mucocele which is where saliva leaks into the tissues. Of course trauma or a tumor could also be the the underlying cause. I would recommend that he be evaluated by a veterinarian soon. They will be able to provide insight on what they think it is as well as what treatment may be needed. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon.
