My dog has a pustule after surgery. Can I use the old treatment?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Bulldog | Male | 2 years and 11 months old

My dog has recently had a cruciate op and post op xray in last 2 weeks. He has developed a pustule on the back of his kneck. He also had a pustule 8 weeks ago which i bathed with derm opt shampoo and applied sudacrem and it went. I was wondering if i should do the same again as it is in a different place 8 inches from first one

I would give that a try again as it is likely the stress of the operation that has sparked this one off. If it is not improving head into the vet as he may need a course of antibiotics to clear it up.
