Can managing a dog's EPI really cost $500 a month for treatment?

my friend told me there dog has ppi and she spends 500 a month on her dog because of this could this be true thanks

Yes, it is possible. They most likely give her a pancreatic enzyme supplement, possibly a special diet and maybe other medications. Enzyme supplements and special prescription foods are very costly, especially for a large breed.
