Why is my cat breathing weird, making noises, and jerking head while sleeping?

my cat makes generator like sound she has shallow breathing..she jerks her head a little while sleeping..what could be the possible cause?

My first thought is that she may have either an upper or lower respiratory tract infection. Any abnormal breathing found or pattern should be considered potentially serious. I would recommend an exam with your veterinarian to see what is going on.

    If she was sleeping, she could have been dreaming, which can change the respiratory rate and cause them to do little things like you described. But if she wasn't sleeping, then I would be concerned about a respiratory or other issue. I would recommend taking Nova to the vet for evaluation. If this continues to happen, try to capture it on video so the vet can see what is going on. They may recommend x-rays to look at the heart and lungs.
