Why is my 3-month pitbull straining to poop, not eating, and drowsy?

My 3 month old pitbull is finding it difficult to poop. Her poop is soft though when it comes out. She keeps trying to push poop out for a long time but very little comes out. Till yesterday she had a great appetite but today she has stopped eating and is very drowsy. Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 1 day old | 16 lbs

It sounds like she is strained to defecate, likely due to loose stools. Has she been vaccinated? Has she been dewormed or had a negative fecal exam for parasites? If she was eating I wouldn’t be as concerned, but with the poor appetite I am very concerned. Parvovirus or intestinal parasites are high on my list of concerns. Please have her seen by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon.
