Why is my senior dog losing hair on one side? What should I do?

i have a 13 yo male Cairn Terrier that is starting to lose his hair one the left side. What is going on? I buy him healthy no gran dog food, he walks 3 to 4 x's a day and is very well taken care of. Pet's info: Dog | Cairn Terrier | Male | neutered | 12 years and 3 months old | 15 lbs
