You can usually double their weight and that is the average of full grown. At 4 months old, it is hard to say since a cocker spaniel is typically larger than a poodle, and the size will depend on if it is miniature poodle, toy poodle or standard poodle in the blood lines. A healthy puppy should have ribs you can feel but never see and a waist line viewed from above. With all the hair it will be easily viewed when wet.
