My red ear slider has a growing, red, ripped neck bump. What to do?

hi i have two red ear sliders and i've had them for almost two years now. the past 2 weeks i've noticed that one of them had a bump on the top of his neck. it's getting larger and seems to have ripped an outer layer of his skin. it seems to be reddish. please let me know what i can do.

I would be concerned about the possibility of a tumor or an abscess/infection. I would highly encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian. They can perform a needle aspirate to get an idea about what it may be and develop a treatment plan. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon.
