My dog has yellow diarrhea with blood for 3 days, still active. What to do?

Hi I was wondering what I should do my dog has had diarrhea for like 3 days and the last two it’s been yellow with bright red blood. He’s not acting differently thou still has an appetite and drinks lots of water. Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | neutered | 11 years and 4 months old | 28 lbs

Hello, sorry to hear about Bowser. You can give him a bland diet for 3-5 days to give his GI tract some rest. If it does not resolve, then he may need to have medications to control his diarrhea. This could be caused by a dietary indiscretion, parasites or inflammation of the GI tract. Hope this helps and best of luck.
