Are plastic parakeet nest boxes good for breeding and laying eggs?

How do those plastic parakeet nest boxes work? Do parakeets like to use them to lay their eggs? I have four pairs of parakeets and want tho try one to avoid re-purchasing over and over again. Your thoughts?

I think you could try it. Birds can have preferences just like humans. I think you could give it a try and see what the birds think of it. If you want them to use this box, then remove the other nests to limit their options. Hope they like it!
