My kitten still has worms and diarrhea after deworming. What now?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 27 days old | 5 lbs

I have bought kitten dewormer from Walmart and I've wormed him twice. What should I do he still has worms and he always has diarrhea.

You are not giving the correct medication. If you are seeing tapeworms, small flat worms or rice like segments near the anus, then you need a prescription dewormer from your veterinarian. I recommend taking a fecal sample in and have them look for parasite eggs under the microscope. Then they can make sure they give you the proper medication. Once Smokey gets rid of the intestinal parasites probably the diarrhea will stop. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Smokey.
