My first-time dog mom isn't cleaning or interacting with her pups?

Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Female | unspayed | 15 lbs

my female dog gave birth on 10/22/17 and doesn't interact with her pups she'll lay down to feed but once they are done walks away. she doesn't clean them or anything. shes eating drinking perfect no fever no redness on her teats. this is her first litter so she is a first time mom

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I’ve seen it take up to a week for a new Mom to accept the puppies. Just calmly encourage her to lay with them. You can take a warm soft cloth after the feedings and stimulate them to urinate and defecate. And gently wipe them down two times per day until she starts doing it. If she never accepts the puppies I wouldn’t breed her again. I hope this helps! Good luck!
